What is the best all around race in Skyrim?

I'm new to skyrim and I want to know since I'm looking to make an all around character. What race can have good bonuses going towards a balanced character. I'm trying to decide between Breton and Imperial. Which one is more balanced? What is the best all around race in Skyrim?
this one:

It really doesn't matter because later on they'll end up all being balanced the same. (Depending on what class you want to go for, etc.) I mean, if you Nord or Argonian, and you become a level 13 with both, they're practically even. Your beginning race really doesn't quality how balanced you'll become later on. Now for the little details of race, Breton gets conjure familiar, but anyone can get it also though early on. Imperial finds maybe 1 or 2 extra coins so that doesn't help. I mean Nord is 50 percent resistant to cold and a lot of creatures use cold or frost.Glad to help. What is the best all around race in Skyrim?
Well from personal experience I chose Nord. The Nord has 50% resistance to frost. I found that quite useful since most of skyrim (the more Northern areas) is mostly snow and ice. This in turn results in enemies that deal frost damage. I also chose Nord because they are the native race of skyrim. It feels cool being a badass Nord Dovahkiin.

If I had to choose between Breton and Imperial I would choose Breton because for one I dont really like Imperials (no offence). Also for the Bretons, resistance to magic. BUT, Bretons are considerably Mages.

Their bonuses are:

+10 Conjuration

+5 Alchemy

+5 Alteration

+5 Illusion

+5 Restoration

+5 Speech

Now in comparison to the Nords bonuses:

+10 Two-Handed

+5 Block

+5 Light Armor

+5 One-Handed

+5 Smithing

+5 Speech

The Nords are more considerably balanced swordsmen. You can tweak with their skills in the skills menu too to make them even more balanced with what you prefer.

The Breton's HOWEVER I found THIS on the wiki page: During gameplay Bretons make excellent warriors, as well as mages. Though they start focused heavily on magic, switching them to a combat style is incredibly effective. This is somewhat tedious at higher difficulties, due to their lower starting combat skills and the power of enemies on the Master difficulty.

The special abilities of the Breton include:

Dragonskin : Absorb 50% of magicka from hostile spells for 60 seconds.

Magic Resistance : Breton blood grants a 25% resistance to magic. Note: In the loading screen trivia, it says the Bretons have a 50% magic resistance. 25% is the correct level.

And the Nord's:

Battle Cry: Target flees for 30 seconds.

Resist Frost: Your Nord blood gives you 50% resistance to frost.

The Nord's ability - "Battle Cry" makes most enemies flee for 30 seconds. This is extremely helpful when the player is overwhelmed by enemies that are of a slightly higher level than the player. The Nord's bonus effect gives the player a 50% resistant to frost. This is vital when fighting Ice Mages or Dragons that use Frost, because the player can still attack many times, without losing their stamina rapidly. This is the main disadvantage for the other 'Strong' race.

Choosing to be a Nord creates a decidedly more friendly atmosphere throughout Skyrim, as the region is dominated by Nords, and many will greet their kinsmen more warmly than other races.

In past games, Nords typically fared well as "Warrior" or "Barbarian" characters.锘?In Skyrim they fare well as a Warrior archetype or Warrior-Mage combination through the use of Heavy Armor and Restoration spells to keep the player's health in check during difficult fights

And as for the Breton's magic resistance from Dragonskin, is rendered somewhat obsolete by the fact any race can achieve 80% absorption as a permanent effect through use of the Atronach Stone and the Atronach perk. They can then receive the remaining 20% needed for 100% from Ward Absorb. Wards can then be used an unlimited number of times per day, as opposed to just once.

Really it all comes down to personal preference. I understand you want a balanced character, starting traits almost dont matter as YOU decide what you want to improve in the skills menu. Anyways hope I helped.

It really doesn't matter. Those race bonuses don't make or break you like they did in Oblivion, just pick whatever you like best. But, if you have to choose between Breton and Imperial, go with Breton. Their magic resistance is more useful than the Imperial's speech bonus. What is the best all around race in Skyrim?
Go with what you like basically but if i had to choice between breton or imperial go breton for its magic resistant birth sign the imperials is impieral luck which makes you find a little bit more gold.
They all have there ups and downs for there abilities. The one that would have to be the most all round would probably have to be either Breton or Imperial
